Dodatek kupiłem na pniu.mauserem pisze:No pięknie! To jak teraz wyceniacie swoje obcojęzyczne wersje RollFTG ?
Wy wiecie oczywiście ze wersja Rio Grande to chiński plastik (kości, kubki, drewnionae ludziki) a karton był "Proudly made in USA"...Rafal_Kruczek pisze: http://wspieramto.znadplanszy.pl/2015/1 ... ski/[quote]

Not yet really paying attention to what specific cards opponents have, just trying to manage my pool of dice and cards into some semblance of a strategy.
49 plays - 9.5: the rabbit hole deepens, and deepens. I still feel like i've only discovered the tip of the iceberg. My winrate is absurdly good, yet i still feel lost as to what the optimal play is in most/all spots.
Still don't know how to play engines very well. Mastered dev spam. Don't like worlds anymore.
Very enjoyable, getting close to a 10, but not quite there yet.
136 plays - 6: Explore Big Dev and Dev Spam seem to dominate far too much. Engines are only really viable with collusion / a sucker(s) willing to Produce or Ship for you. The extreme randomness of phase assignment eventually gets really, really annoying.
The main strategy is never invest in producing or shipping. If you are going to select a phase only choose 1, 2 or 3.
Explore is very useful to ensure you get your dice back in the cup. One or two times a game I will use all my dice (or as many as possible) on exploring. This way I can generate more money and get more dice back. Only a few times in a game will I explore to get more tiles. When I do explore to get tiles, I make sure I get multiple tiles.
Develop and Settle are very important. This is how I win. I develop and settle quickly enough that I have 12 developments/worlds. I develop/settle very quickly as that is all I am focused on. I also always develop/settle every tile I see that is a 6+, I never use the other side. The 6+ developments/worlds can generate a ton of victory points.
Dulkal pisze:I think it speaks well of this games balance that we have threads arguing that shipping strategies never work, and threads arguing that the game is broken because shipping always wins.Octavian pisze:I suspect you're not committing to a shipping strategy and trying to make it a hybrid while also spending turns on settling and developing, etc. That's going to be a loser. If you get some early bonuses to ship you need to hammer produce/ship cycle hard. Ignore the rest. That's the path to a shipping victory.
The 6+ devs almost all come in at 12-18 points - the latter in ideal conditions. That's best case scenario of vp/die output, and requires finding the right dev and then meeting the conditions. Meanwhile, all those other planets and devs you are playing to meet those requirements are pulling down your vp/die average.
You can pretty easily match that overall vp/die average on every ship if you get the right ship powers and dice. And if you can speed up the game by exhausting the shipping vps you reduce the time that others have to find the 6+ devs they need, be able to develop them, and be able to meet all the requirements to max the bonus.
There are definitely so that can go much higher, but then you're not usually scoring big on multiple 6+s. And the average vp/die spent is going to obviously be lower than that max result from the 6+s.
In general, I am a gamer who prefers depth over breadth. I'd rather play my 4000th game of Race for the Galaxy or my 4000th game of Dominion in place of learning a new game that is likely not as good. I think learning the boundaries of a game and playing nearly optimally with lots of experience is a lot more fun than learning some new set of rules or game mechanic.
